“I enjoyed talking to the employees that volunteer to come and speak about their experiences, their pathways and what they do on a day to day at FTI.” – Giselle, Student
Lena Ahad, Managing Director in Strategic Communications, delivered a keynote session introducing the organisation, its work, and the wide range of career opportunities available within the firm.
Inspiring future talent through real stories
One of the highlights of the day was the Role Model Panel, where students learned about different roles from FTI professionals from across the business:
- Ryan Hynes – Managing Director, Technology
- Ignacio Pascale – Lead Data Scientist (AI Build)
- Candice McClean – Senior Manager, Pricing, Forensic & Litigation Consulting
- Nicholas Brooks – Managing Director II, Economic & Financial Consulting
- Shakila Islam – Apprentice, Strategic Communications
Students gained insight into different career journeys, including pathways into technology, AI, consulting, and communications. Panelists shared honest reflections on their experiences, the importance of resilience, and the skills needed to succeed in a corporate environment.
“I liked how there were different volunteers who gave reassuring words to not stress too much and also encouraged us on how to go about a career path.” – Ketia, Student
Building connections and confidence
Following the panel, students took part in a speed mentoring and networking session, allowing them to connect directly with professionals, ask questions and get some top tips.
“I enjoyed talking to different employees about their career paths. They inspired me and gave me a lot of advice!” - Ashly, Student
