Our workshop engaged the volunteer mentors and mentees to work as teams, brainstorming ideas and developing an agentic solution which was later presented to a panel of judges.

One of our mentees Chloe reflected on the workshop on LinkedIn:
"I had an inspiring day at London Stock Exchange last week with Urban Synergy at their Women in STEM event where I learnt how to build my own AI agent.
An AI agent is a ‘software program that uses artificial intelligence to make decisions and takes action to achieve specific goals autonomously.’
A glimpse into our day involved teamwork, collaboration and innovative thinking as we worked to create our unique help bot. Within our teams, we gathered our raw ideas and transformed them into structured business solutions (a true demonstration of how AI can turn vision into execution).
Excited to carry these insights forward and apply them to my AI studies as I continue to explore the depths of technology to expand both my learning and practical skills."

“This mentored experience organised by Urban Synergy Mentoring at the LSEG gave myself and 11 other female mentees the opportunity to navigate the use of AI tools in business.
This involved:
- working in teams to brainstorm and present a solution to a business challenge using AI, reflecting the uprising use of such technology in real industry
- learning to utilise Microsoft 365 to build an AI agent tailored to tasks specific to a business or community goal
- working within a time frame to write and produce a presentation pitching the product, with the help of mentors
This was a great learning experience to develop skills in creativity, confidence, teamwork, and time management within a working environment.”
