In August 2025, 25 mentees attended our Summer Talent Accelerator at LSEG. It was a golden opportunity to learn key employability skills including networking, mock interview, teamwork and presentations.
Over 30 LSEG staff took part in the event, offering speed mentoring with career insights and mock interview practice for the mentees.
Mentee Marianne aged 18 provided some feedback on her experience:
"Sometimes the best opportunities come when you just take a chance — and I’m so glad I did! My friend told me about Urban Synergy’s Talent Accelerator programme and I decided to dive in. Over two incredible days, I gained experiences and connections that will stay with me for a long time.
As part of the programme, we visited the London Stock Exchange — and wow, what an experience! We met inspiring professionals, networked, and gained practical skills from CV writing workshops to mock interviews. The building itself was stunning, and I’ll admit - my personal highlight was the hot chocolate machine (yes, I definitely went back more than once! ) It created such a welcoming, comfortable environment that made learning and networking feel natural.
I can’t thank Urban Synergy enough for creating such an impactful and empowering experience. From the organisers and mentors to the amazing new friends I made along the way — this journey has been unforgettable."
