Urban Synergy visited Oracle and their young people had access to one of the world’s leading AI and cloud technology companies, providing a unique AI education for young people.
For many of the students in the room, it was their first time inside a global tech environment—a space that can often feel distant or out of reach. By the end of the morning, it felt possible.
Oracle, a global leader in cloud infrastructure and enterprise technology, is at the forefront of applied AI—embedding artificial intelligence into business systems, healthcare platforms, environmental modelling, and customer experience (CX) tools used by organisations worldwide. The session broke it down into something tangible: systems that learn from data, recognise patterns, automate decisions, and support humans to work smarter.
Understanding AI and its real-world applications
The workshop took students from understanding what AI is to seeing how it powers everything from recommendation engines to predictive healthcare. They explored cutting-edge concepts like Agentic AI and prompt engineering, train simulations, discovering how AI can take goal-driven actions across industries including healthcare, hospitality, sustainability, and finance.

Students gained practical experience with technologies such as image recognition and natural language processing—the very tools used in real-world enterprise settings. This was hands-on AI education for young people at its finest.
