Through 1‑2-1 mentoring, workplace visits, CV and interview preparation, Moyo began building the confidence and clarity she needed to navigate her career path. This marked the start of Moyo’s apprenticeship journey, one defined by growth, resilience, and guidance.

Turning setbacks into growth
One turning point for Moyo came early in her application process, when she received feedback on a rejection. Understanding why she hadn’t been successful allowed her to improve and not allow setbacks to affect her confidence. She shared these insights with her mentor, who helped her refine her approach, overcome nerves, and become more comfortable with public speaking, a skill that had once been daunting.
Strengthening her profile
Moyo’s CV was another area where Urban Synergy’s support was pivotal. Working closely with her mentor, she strengthened her profile, giving her the stepping stone she needed to secure her Level 7 Finance Apprenticeship at Amazon, alongside working towards her CIMA Accounting qualification. This achievement became a cornerstone in Moyo’s Amazon apprenticeship journey.
