Insight Day Highlights: Mentoring, AI, and Career Advice

Twenty-eight students from Prendergast Hillyfields School had a very special experience at the PwC Insight Day, organised by Caroline Lear, Deals Manager at PwC. The event was made even more memorable because Urban Synergy alumni Jadon Black co-hosted, sharing his journey as a role model for the students.
Jadon began his career with Urban Synergy as a student, participating in mentoring, Insight Days, and career guidance programs. Today, he works at PwC and returned as a co-host for the PwC Insight Day to inspire students, showing that with curiosity, ambition, and the right support, they too can turn their potential into real career success.
Alongside Management Consultant apprentices Suyi Osemwegie and Mathir Uddin, Jadon engaged students with personal insights into life as a Management Consultant Apprentice. The Early Careers Panel and Speed Mentoring sessions were full of energy and curiosity, giving students the chance to explore career possibilities, ask thoughtful questions, and understand how their own skills can translate into real-world success.

Students also enjoyed an engaging Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) session led by Tom Gladstone, followed by an inspiring talk from PwC Partner Saye Mkangama. These sessions highlighted how skills in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) can open doors to exciting career opportunities within the business world.
