On Friday 28th October 2022 Leila Thomas, CEO and Founder of Urban Synergy was awarded the Community Award at the Black Excellence Awards at The Savoy Hotel in London.
The award was presented by Sandra Altiné, VP, Workforce Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Meta, in recognition of Leila's outstanding contribution to uplifting the lives of young people.
Leila Thomas is an outstanding role model, championing positive change in diverse communities and empowering thousands of young people to reach their full potential.
Leila works for the London Stock Exchange Group and is currently seconded to Urban Synergy full time.
Her laser focus on providing role models to support, encourage and inspire her community, is making sure all young people have a beacon of light to follow.
To date, Urban Synergy has supported over 20,000 young people aged 9-24 yrs through career seminars, mentoring work experience placements.
