A fireside chat with Timothy Armoo
Urban Synergy was proud to deliver the third instalment of its series, Meet the Entrepreneur with Timothy Armoo this week, hosted in partnership with HSBC at their London offices.
The event featured an exclusive fireside chat with Timothy Armoo, giving 10 selected alumni the rare opportunity to hear first-hand about his journey, the gritty challenges of entrepreneurship, and his proven strategies for building and scaling global businesses.
The session was officially opened by Emily Turner, CEO of HSBC Innovation Banking, and attended by Shane Grant, the former Young Mayor of Lewisham. Their presence underscored a powerful, collaborative commitment to youth development and the next generation of business leaders.
“Meeting Tim and hearing how he scaled and exited for an 8-figure sum was incredibly insightful. Beyond the success story, his focus on making entrepreneurship accessible is what really stuck with me.” - Tadakadzwa, Student
Meet the entrepreneur series
The session was hosted by Kofi Siaw, an Urban Synergy alumnus and now Vice President at HSBC Innovation Banking, who was a former mentee with Urban Synergy over 20 years ago.
This latest event builds on the success of the Urban Synergy series. The first instalment, hosted at the London Stock Exchange, brought together students to hear from leading entrepreneurs including Toks Aruoture, Luxury Nursery Designer and Founder of The Baby Cot Shop; Jamel Higgins, Managing Director of HENRI X; and Adrian Grant, Founder and Theatre/Media Producer at Adrian Grant Productions. The second instalment, held at Thomson Reuters, featured Michael J. Prest, a global entrepreneur and co-founder of the UK Powerlist, who inspired students through his experience across multiple industries.
