Last week, 30 students from St. Charles Catholic Sixth Form College had an inspiring opportunity at the Tech Insight Day hosted by Salesforce in their Blue Fin London office. This perfect platform allowed the students to explore various aspects of the tech industry, gain valuable insights, and ignite their passion for future careers.
Co-hosted by Kate Williams, Head of Engagement & Communication at Urban Synergy, and Keseana Robinson, a Salesforce Solutions Engineer, the event was graced by Tunde Mosaku, a Salesforce Principal Software Engineer and member of BOLDforce (Black Organization for Leadership and Development). Unde passionately spoke about the initiative to empower people of colour within the Salesforce community. The students were given an exciting challenge to create an app or website for electric vehicle users, using the free tool Thinkable for guidance. This hands-on experience allowed them to harness their creativity and technical skills while addressing a real-world problem.
One of the attendees, a year 11 student, couldn't contain their excitement and said, "Everything was amazing! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the energy was truly great. I'd definitely recommend and attend again if given the chance. Thank you for having me." We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Salesforce for their support in providing this invaluable experience.
A special thanks goes to their team for their commitment to creating opportunities for young people in the ever-evolving world of technology. Together, we continue to inspire and equip young individuals to thrive in the dynamic world of technology, fostering a brighter and inclusive future for all.
