The event took place at the FTI Consulting office near The London Wall. Urban Synergy's Head of Programmes, Dianne Johnson and Shanyce Morris, Corporate Citizenship Associate, at FTI co-hosted the event. Managing Director, Operations, Economic and Financial Consulting, Lorreen Pross, was the keynote speaker. Alongside, Hillary McDonald, Corporate Citizenship Senior Manager, gave an introduction to the company and their mission before sharing information about their career journeys and answering some questions from the students.
30 students from Woolwich Polytechnic attended and listened to role model panellists talk about their career journeys while sharing top tips and then participated in a Speed mentoring session with more FTI volunteers.

The panellists helped to decode their roles for the students and also shared some career insights and provided useful tips.
They shared career insights and pathways with the students, to expose them to a wider range of roles within the company and industry as a whole. It was also an opportunity for the students to ask lots of questions.
Lunch was provided to the students, followed by a presentation from Doris Webb, Senior Early Careers Recruiter. She discussed best practices for CV writing and LinkedIn profiles, as well as outlining the typical recruitment process and various early-stage recruitment avenues at FTI Consulting. Following the presentation, students engaged in a Q&A session.
