Urban Synergy teamed up with tech giant Google for their annual 'Googleserve' volunteer campaign to deliver an impactful Mock Interview event for 150 sixth-form students from Christ the King - Aquinas. Students also had the opportunity to network and ask many more questions during the speed mentoring with Google employees.

The mock interviews provided a vital platform for students to test their skills in a realistic setting, helping them build confidence and gain actionable, tailored feedback on how to stand out—moving beyond the common pitfall of under-preparation to truly showcase their potential.

Complementing this, the speed mentoring sessions offered an invaluable window into the diverse careers available at Google and YouTube, allowing students to network directly with industry professionals, ask insightful questions, and gain some clarity on the vast range of opportunities available in the technology industry.

What is Googleserve?

GoogleServe is Google’s annual global employee volunteering initiative, typically running during the summer months, where employees step away from their regular work to dedicate their time, energy, and professional skills to support local charities and community organisations.
