Urban Synergy delivered a speed mentoring event at Addey & Stanhope School on Thursday 18th April with 120 Year 9 students aged 13-14 years.
The event was timely as the student’s options evening, with parents and teachers, was actually scheduled for the same evening. Students got to meet Urban Synergy Role Models from companies including: BlackRock, PwC, Lloyds Banking Group, Coppelia Machine Learning, Box and also had insights to job roles including; Lawyers, Analysts, Data Scientists, Sales, Diversity & Inclusion and various roles in the finance sector included Financial Crime, asset management, infrastructure & construction.
The students said the event was ‘insightful’ especially as they were due to select their subject options the following week. Many of the students felt they could make some more considered choices on the subjects they will select based on the knowledge gained at the event and their interactions with employees from various organisations.
