Think Further St Matthew Academy

Trevor ColeGallery, Previous Events

On 16th December 2008, at St Matthew Academy in Lewisham, Urban Synergy held the second of its series of Academic Seminars (see flyer). The aims of these seminars is to get students from our best universities to share their experiences about getting to and attending university, in order to provide tips and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

We were fortunate to have several students from several top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge in our event hosted by Michael Isola, who is in his third year at Oxford studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Also present was Halimatou Hima Moussa Dioula, originally from Niger, she is now studying at Wellesley College, near Boston USA, Hillary Clinton’s alma mater. She is also a member of Harambe Endeavour which “..is an alliance of African students attending world class universities, such as Harvard, Yale, Cambridge, Oxford, MIT, LSE, and Stanford,  seeking to reduce the inefficiencies of the collective action of a generation Africans, in an effort to better address the challenges and opportunities of Sub-Saharan Africa”
