Urban Synergy volunteers were Speed Mentoring Year 9 students at Prendergast Ladywell School recently. 170 Year 9 students who are about to pick their GCSE subjects had the opportunity to gain invaluable career insights from industry professionals.
Bringing Careers to Life
Students connected with a diverse group of mentors from industries such as Law, Finance, Education and the Creative Sector. Professionals in roles like Consultancy, Music Promotion, Crown Prosecution and more shared their expertise, offering real-world perspectives on career opportunities.
Interactive and Impactful Mentoring
Through dynamic, fast-paced mentoring sessions, a small group of students spent 8-10 minutes with each mentor, gaining first-hand knowledge about different careers, key skills, and potential pathways. These conversations helped broaden their career awareness and ignite their aspirations for the future.
