This October, Urban Synergy teamed up with Ford Motors in Basildon for a high-energy Talent Accelerator programme.
With 29 students from Christ the King St Mary’s Sixth Form, it was two days of learning designed to rev up their skills for the future workplace.
From mock interviews to team-building challenges, students explored their personal brand while gaining insight into Ford’s various business functions.
A fleet of 30 Ford employees volunteered their time, helping students navigate career paths, master networking, and tune their interview and presentation skills.
The Results:
- 100% of students felt more confident about interviews.
- Half said they’d love to work for Ford one day.
One student shared, “It taught me how to present myself and opened my eyes to opportunities in the workforce. It was inspiring to meet professionals who genuinely wanted to help us succeed.”
