PwC co-hosted another Corporate Insight Day with Urban Synergy at their office near London Bridge on Friday 24th November.
30 Year 10 (14-15 year old) students from Prendergast Ladywell School (Leathersellers' Federation of Schools) in South London met a Role Model panel fairly early in their career at PwC and speed mentored with employees from various roles/departments in the building. Simon Harris, a Partner at PwC, was the keynote speaker and spoke about what PwC does - he also got involved in the speed mentoring!
The students also met some of the Innovation team and the Strategy& team, who delivered interactive workshops about the consultancy world. The recruitment team shared opportunities regarding apprenticeships and graduate programmes to make the students aware of the different types of roles that they recruit for and also what PwC look for in their applicants/potential employees. Altogether a very insightful day for the students and adults - the students rated the event 4.2 out of 5 with 100% stating they learned about new career pathways, and they felt more confident about their future.
